Do you live in Pottstown / Upper Pottsgrove Twp / Lower Pottsgrove Twp /  West Pottsgrove Twp? (19464)

No problem! Stop in with a valid, up-to-date ID or if you haven’t updated your ID yet a lease/rental/mortgage agreement or utility bill  along with your ID and we’ll get you all set up.  You may complete the application at home or in the library.

Do you live in Montgomery County not in Pottstown / Upper Pottsgrove Twp / Lower Pottsgrove Twp /  West Pottsgrove Twp? (19464)

No problem! Stop in with a valid, up-to-date ID and we’ll get you all set up.  You may complete the application at home or in the library.  The application will be sent to Montgomery County Libraries-Norristown and you will receive a library card in the mail.

Do you live in Chester County? (19465)

Please bring your Chester County Library System card along with valid, up-to-date picture ID so we can put you in the Montgomery County system. If you do not have a Chester County library card, you may apply for it online or go to the closest Chester County library and apply in person. Please note online access to materials such as Hoopla and Libby  is limited to residents who live in 19464. 

Do you live in Berks County?

Please bring your Berks County Library System card along with valid, up-to-date picture ID so we can put you in the Montgomery County system. If you do not have a Berks County library card, you may apply for it online or go to the closest Berks County Library and apply in person. Please note online access to materials such as Hoopla and Libby  is limited to residents who live in 19464. 

Do you live in any other PA County?

If you live in any other Pennsylvania county, you must have a library card with an AccessPa sticker on it from your home library and a valid up-to-date picture ID, and we will link your card into our system. Please note online access to materials such as Hoopla and Libby  is limited to residents who live in 19464.

NOTE: Materials borrowed from other Montgomery County libraries may have different loan periods, based on the policies of the loaning library.  Materials borrowed from outside Montgomery County may require a small service charge and/or different circulation periods, based on the policies of the loaning library.

Lost or Damaged Items

Lost items, damaged items, or items returned without all components are charged at the cost of the item, plus a $6.00 processing fee in addition to any accumulated overdue fees.  If you have misplaced an item, please consult with library staff as soon as possible so that we can minimize your costs and replace any items that are in demand.

Access PA facilitates resource sharing through inter-library loan among the libraries of Pennsylvania. Books or DVDs published in the past 6 months may not be requested through inter-library loan.

If you have a valid MCLINC library card, New materials may still be requested through MCLINC libraries.
