Curbside Hours starting July 12th, 2021 :

Daily during normal operating hours. 
Monday- Wednesday 10am-8pm
Thursday/Friday: 10am-6pm
Saturday 9am-4pm

Curbside Pick Up Directions for Drivers:

As we are  reopening  we are continuing to offer Curbside Pick-Up Service, focusing on the safety of our patrons and our staff.

  1. Go to our catalog, select your materials, and place a hold.
  2. You will be contacted by automated message either by phone, email, or text, however it is set in your notifications on your account. *If you are not receiving notifications please call the main phone number at 610-970-6551 and speak directly to a staff member so they can verify or update your information.* 
  3. You will have five (5) days to Pick Up your requested materials.
  4. Please come to the FRONT of the library, call our main phone line 610-970-6551, and speak with a staff member about your items. DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.
  5. *New*: Please have your library card ready and either give the card number out over the phone or hand the card to the staff member.  Items will be checked out to you after you arrive.
  6. Please remain in your car unless you are opening your trunk for the staff.
  7. If you have items to return, please use the Book Drop in the front of our building before arriving for Curbside Pick Up. This is for your safety and the safety of our staff members.
  8. Enjoy your materials and we thank you for supporting the Pottstown Regional Public Library.

How to Place a Hold, during Curbside Pick Up:

If you are having trouble placing a hold electronically or have never placed a hold electronically before, please view our directions. If you are still having issues after reviewing the directions, please contact us by calling the main circulation department @ 610-970-6551 or send an email to PottstownLibrary@mclinc.org We will be happy to assist you and will return your phone call/email in a timely manner.

PLACING A HOLD DIRECTIONS

How to apply for a Pottstown Library Card for zip code 19464:

If you are new to the library and live in the 19464 zip code area, please complete the downloadable application. The application is a pdf fillable document. You must complete the application, save it to your device, upload it as an attachment and email it along with a photo/picture of your current driver’s license or state ID showing your 19464 address to PottstownLibrary@mclinc.org. If your DL/ID does not show your current 19464 address, a photo/picture of a lease/rental/mortgage agreement or utility bill showing your name and address only will be compliant.

How to apply for a library card if you live in Montgomery County, but not 19464:

If you are a Montgomery County Resident, but don’t live in the 19464 zip code, please check MCLINC’s website for a list of member libraries. You can contact your closest MCLINC Member library and they will assist you in getting a card.

How to request a Hotspot, during Curbside Pick Up:

If you would like to request a hotspot, please place a hold for one of our Mobile Beacon devices through the catalog. Once you have completed the hold request, you must fill out the downloadable application. The application is a pdf fillable document. You must complete the application, save it to your device, upload it as an attachment and email it to PottstownLibrary@mclinc.org

When the device is ready for pick up, a staff member will call you for payment, which needs to be completed over the phone through our credit card/debit machine. The staff member will discuss the Curbside Pick Up procedure.

Starting June 1st, hotspots will not be allowed to be returned in the book drop and will have to be returned inside at the circulation desk. Fines during this time for these items will not be waived and we ask that your return them by their due date.
