Our Elevator is out of order and we need your help!
Unfortunately, our elevator is out of service, impeding the use of the full library for many patrons with accessibility issues.
Thanks to the amazing support of over 50 donors, the Friend of the Library, and the L’oe Show, our Elevator Campaign has reached its first goal! We’ve raised just over $78,000 this summer!
The repair has begun, and we have enough to fund the repair, but our campaign will continue as we need funding on hand for unexpected costs that may crop up during the work. All money raised from this point on will first be held in reserve for the elevator. Any amounts above and beyond will be used for other building repair projects as needed.
Our goal remains $100,000 for this repair, and with such dedicated support from library patrons, local organization, and more, we know we can get the elevator back in working order.

While we are working diligently behind the scenes to get our elevator replaced as fast as possible, please be aware that, for the foreseeable future, we will only have access to our upper and lower floors via the stairs.
If you are planning to attend a program or event that takes place on the balcony level or in the youth department and you have accessibility concerns, please ask! We will do whatever we can and make accommodations to ensure you are able to attend your public library’s free programming.

NOTICE
Elevator repairs and a subsequent youth department closure are expected at some point in the near future. We will not have much of a heads up. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for program reschedulings and/or cancellations. Thank you for your patience with us during this uncertain time!
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the temporary closure of our Balcony level, all September and October Adult Services programs will be relocated to the Community Room in the Youth Department unless otherwise communicated. Thank you for your patience!
How is the Pottstown Regional Public Library Funded?
The Pottstown Regional Public Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit receiving public funds from the State of Pennsylvania, the Borough of Pottstown, Lower Pottsgrove Township, Upper Pottsgrove Township, and West Pottsgrove Township. Other sources of income include fundraising, corporate support, donations from civic groups and private donations.
